Why do we sabotage ourselves?

Why do we trip ourselves up? There's a layer of thoughts that is hard to access that holds surprising insights and secrets. 

Healing our experiences of childhood can include understanding the beliefs that trip us up and keep us trapped in the past. These unspoken rules set up our nervous system for a heightened state of threat or stress and make it hard(er) to relax, unwind, and feel truly our authentic self.
